This provides industry-leading response times to email-borne threats by adding a 3rd layer of antivirus protection to the Barracuda Spam Firewall.

Barracuda Real-Time Protection is based on data collected from thousands of online resources and Barracuda Spam Firewalls across the internet.  The data is monitored and classified according to fingerprints.  These ‘fingerprints’ are detected by the Barracuda Spam Firewall and unknown fingerprints are submitted to the Barracuda Real-Time Protection Central where engineers monitor the Internet for the latest threats and deploy solutions 24×7 to stop them.
